The vintage original house was added on and at that time, the dilapidated garage was upgraded to be a replacement 2 car garage with a guest house above. The location is the same, but all new structure. The small guest house has the same historical swooping roof shape and shingle pattern as the main house.
The guest house has a bedroom, a large common area and bathroom. The original intent was to have a small kitchen and it was plumbed for that, but never built out.. It is used as a hangout space, guest room and general addition to the house. Separate, but close. It has the ability to be a quick conversion to a rented ADU by installing the necessary kitchen.
